Our Staff
At Lakelands Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic, our professional staff
has been trained to provide you with the highest quality of care. From the
check-in desk, to those who file your insurance, to the operating room and
back—you are in good hands at Lakelands.
The smiling faces that greet you at check-in and say goodbye as you check
out are happy to assist you with updating contact or insurance information
as well as scheduling follow-up appointments and setting up payment plans.
If you have disability insurance or work-related paperwork to have completed
by our office, drop it off at the desk and your doctor’s staff will get it
completed for you as soon as all of the necessary information is available.
In the clinic, our six Orthopaedic Surgeons are
assisted by a qualified clinical support staff consisting of Registered Radiologic
Technologists, Medical Assistants, Certified Surgical Technologists, several
Physician Assistants (PA’s), as well as a Certified Orthopaedic Tech to handle
all your casting and splinting needs. Our surgical team is prepared to devote
themselves to any procedure that you go through—whether elective or emergency.
The surgeons are assisted by many of the same smiling faces that you see in
our clinic. Many of these surgical teams have been working together for ten
years or more.
Should you elect to have a total joint replacement, your pre-operative planning, surgery, and post-operative care will be directed by a Registered Nurse. The nurse, together with one of our surgery schedulers, will monitor blood work, medical clearance, field your questions before and after surgery, and be sure that your follow-up appointments are scheduled properly.
Through our telephone system, you will encounter our team of friendly appointment schedulers and the nurse triage answering system. The appointment team will be happy to schedule appointments for new or existing patients—no referral required. If you have a question for your doctor or a nurse, simply leave a message on the nurse triage voicemail. The messages are retrieved several times each
hour. Your question will be matched up with your medical records and
relayed to the doctor to provide you with a response as quickly as possible. We are equipped to handle your care from beginning
to end. We have an Occupational Therapist on staff to provide rehabilitation
to you after your hand or wrist injury/surgery. Physical Therapy is
also available on the premises through CAROLINA PHYSICAL THERAPY SERVICES,
LLC. |
